KAYE - Honey

KAYE, otherwise known as the solo prokect of Charlene Kaye, who is also the frontwoman for New York-based group San Fermin, has today unveiled her new single called "Honey", which also serves as the first single and title track to be lifted from her forthcoming five-song debut EP, due for release on August 19th. Produced by Elliot Jacobson (VÉRITÉ), "Honey" is a fierce self-love anthem featuring scuzzy guitars and doo-wop harmonies.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, KAYE spent her childhood all over the globe, relocating to Singapore, Hong Kong, Arizona and Michigan all before she turned 18. Growing up in the suburbs of Phoenix, she became a full-fledged music obsessive, playing classical piano and teaching herself punk songs on her mother's nylon string guitar. Upon moving to New York, KAYE began playing bass and guitar in a few groups, where a mutual friend connected her with San Fermin's Ellis Ludwig-Leone. Impressed, Ludwig-Leone invited her to be San Fermin's new lead female vocalist as part of a European tour, leading to a long-term relationship, including a collaboration on their most recent album, Jackrabbit (Downtown).
